NDT inspection, testing and repair engineering in Singapore since 1997.
Metcon DNDT is a Singapore engineering company. We inspect drill pipe and structures, load-test lifting gear, qualify welds, train and certify NDT personnel, and develop precision repair processes for aerospace turbine parts.
- Vendor approvals from Aker Solutions and Premier Hytemp
- Inspection led by an ASNT Level III
- Reference standards to ASTM, API and DS-1
- In-house workshop, NDT lab and training room
- 20,000+
- Drill pipes inspected
- 500+
- Load tests, 1 to 20 tonnes
- 3,800+
- Personnel trained and certified
- Since 1997
- Serving Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand
A long shop-floor record across Southeast Asia.
We started out inspecting oil and gas tubulars with EMI and ultrasonic equipment, and training personnel in tubular inspection. Over nearly three decades our work has grown to cover most NDT methods, in-situ heat treatment, load testing, structural analysis and welding engineering for offshore platforms, rigs and fabrication yards in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
Since 2021 we have expanded into aerospace MRO, developing precision, robotic, near-net repair processes for turbine blades and vanes with local aerospace companies.

Aerospace turbine repair
Near-net surface build-up, robotic braze application and automated blending for blades and vanes.
See aerospace repair servicesReverse engineering: from part to precise repair
We scan the part, rebuild it in CAD and turn it into robot paths, so every blade or vane is blended to its own best-fit form, not by eye.
- 01
Share the part
Send the part, or photos of it, and mark the area to blend or repair.
OEM or MRO parts - 02
Set the reference
One best part for OEM work, a best-fit form for each MRO part. We agree the final precision with you.
Precision agreed - 03
Scan and index
A blue-light scanner measures the part on a calibrated turntable, located by an indexing point.
Within 100 µm - 04
Scan to CAD
Scan data becomes a CAD model with a best-fit contour, checked against the reference.
Best fit, part by part - 05
Design the cell
Payload, collaborative robot, axes of movement and tool reach are designed and simulated before anything is built.
Simulated before build - 06
Blend and check
The robot blends to the CAD form with compensation applied, and dimensions are held to the agreed tolerance.
Same result, every part
Turbine repair that keeps more of the part.
Our near-net surface build-up sprays braze alloy, base-metal powder or a mix of both only where a blade or vane needs it, in thin, uniform layers that follow the original contour. The standard heat treatment stays the same. What changes is how little hand blending is left afterwards.

As applied: a 40 μm layer on a turbine airfoil, with every cooling hole left open.
Results from Metcon trials on coupons and MRO parts. Every customer process is validated separately.
Selected work
From pipe yards and offshore cranes to aerospace trials. Every job is done by our own team.

Pad-eye testing, a specialist service
Hydraulic pullers apply the proof load straight to a pad eye, read from a calibrated load cell.

20,000+ drill pipes inspected
Pipe bodies cleaned and inspected at the yard, then reported joint by joint.

Near-net build-up on an airfoil
A 40 µm braze layer with every cooling hole left open.
